I see our old bailiwick is down again. I started scrapping years ago as a kid in the '70's. There was a dump near the house and a friend and I would get motors and other items and tear them apart for the copper. We never did anything with what we got, as I remember. I also remember another kid and I would pick up pop bottles to return 10 cents a piece... That I do remember getting the cash for. After that, I worked in a building maintenance department and we would collect metals and turn them in when we got enough to fill the truck split the proceeds. Now I have been doing it on my own for at least three decades and loving it.

Where are all you scrapers at? I came over here from the scrapmetal.forum. i want to make serious money. i cant find any copper on our garbage day. i thought i could make around 20k a year from copper but there is none! Is someone getting it before me? Where do you guys get all that copper from? I only found two short pipes on a sink and cut my hand ripping it off. I see a lot of Youtube people making alot from copper but I DONT FIND ANY! Please help!
